Yes that is interesting Kate, I also didn't know about the fundraising that children did during the war. The flagpole also was a very significant feature of schools during times of war. Something we don't do now. Well done I enjoyed reading your research. Something to think about for next time when you use photos maybe label them with a bit more information.
